Veterans Program
11/06/2020Evadale ISD will be hosting a Veterans Day drive through parade at Evadale High School on November 18th at 9:30 AM. The parade will begin by the fire department and proceed around the football field passing by both schools. Veterans wanting to participate will need to be lined up by 9:00 AM with personnel assisting in parking. Evadale ISD and the student body want to recognize the veterans and the contributions they have made to our country and our freedoms, but with the current environment and the restrictions COVID-19 has placed on assembly, our normal program is not possible. We will be broadcasting on FM radio for all to listen. The exact frequency will be communicated closer to the date of the celebration.
Also anyone wishing to watch the parade will be able to park in the high school parking lot, but must remain in their vehicles. Again, personnel will be assisting in parking as to make sure all will be able to view the parade.
Thank you Veterans and community members for all you do for Evadale ISD and our country.

Wanted to let everyone know that we have available WiFi access in our parking lot running parallel to the railroad tracks. This is available for anyone to use and does not require a password to connect to. For those concerned with the security aspect of it, it is completely isolated from our network, and all guest connections are isolated from each other. Everyone gets their own connection to the internet and to nothing else. This is also filtered minimally to try and limit the false positives that would be blocked, but also prevent abuse and access to not so good things. The signal is strong enough for it to be used in your vehicle, so there is no need to congregate near the entrances.
The network name is "EISD Public WiFi" and once connected your device will prompt you to agree to the terms and conditions. The terms just say that you will not do anything illegal and we reserve the right to block devices that are using it appropriately.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact cfikes@evadalek12.net.
